WALK THE WALK - Free!
Each week, a Joslyn Center staff will host a walking excursion to a local spot in Covina. This is a great opportunity to get in some exercise while getting to know staff and other active seniors. Destinations will be determined a week prior to each walk. Please dress in comfortable clothes, walking shoes and bring water.

This interactive activity is perfect for those looking to try something new, a great way to meet friends and also a fabulous way to stimulate your body and mind.

NEW! MONTHLY DINNER SOCIAL

A hot nutritious dinner will be served monthly. This program is supported by Federal funding through the Los Angeles County Area Agency on Aging and is administered by YWCA Intervale Senior Services. Live entertainment included.

FEE:     Suggested donation for dinner is $2 for those 60 years of age and older. For guests under 60 years of age, the fee is $3.75. 

For dinner reservations, please call (626) 384-5390, Monday-Friday, 10-11:45 am. Dinner reservations must be made at least one day in advance. Dinner check-in time is no later than 3:45 pm. NO EXCEPTIONS! No reservations will be accepted for guests under 60 years of age. Once all individuals with reservations have been served, any person wishing to purchase a meal may do so if there are available meals.

PECHANGA CASINO

Don’t miss the bus to Pechanga Casino. The casino’s well-planned layout allows guests to move easily among over 3,000 state-of-the-art slot and video machines and over 132 table games including Blackjack, Three-Card Poker, Let it Ride, Mini Baccarat, Fortune Pai Gow Poker and Pechanga Craps. Participants must bring a valid identification on the day of the trip and enroll in rewards program to receive $10 slot play (subject to change). Moderate sitting and walking.

LIMONEIRA RANCH AND SUSTAINABILITY TOUR AND SANTA PAULA HISTORIC DOWNTOWN

Learn what modern farmers are doing to become more sustainable. Like having a 5.5 acre “solar orchard” and using English miniature sheep to keep the weeds down. Stop by the 10-acre green recycling yard where grass clippings, branches and leaves are naturally composted. The tour will also take you to visit the Ranch Photo Gallery where it provides a photographic history of farm life at the turn of the century. Each participant will take home lemons and avocados! Next, head to Santa Paula’s Historic Downtown where you can enjoy lunch and shopping on your own. The Main Street district of Santa Paula is a popular filming location for movies because of its historical authenticity. It looks like a movie set, but it is the real thing! Moderate sitting and walking.

SAN MANUEL INDIAN BINGO AND CASINO
